Keith Edward Morris

Keith Edward Morris, 65, of Collierville, Tennessee, went home to Heaven on April 1, 2023.

Keith was born in Memphis, Tennessee on December 7, 1957 to Steve and Libbie Morris. He was one of seven children and he kept his large family entertained with his playful personality. He was known to some, especially in his childhood, as Bubby. Keith attended Elliston Baptist and went on to receive his associates degree in electronics from State Technical Institute. Keith worked at the Federal Aviation Administration as a computer analyst for 35 years.

Keith was married on June 27, 1981 to the love of his life and his “brown eyed girl”, Connie Wilcox Morris. They were together for forty one years. They had three children together, all of whom Keith was incredibly proud of: Bradley Keith Morris (Sarah) of Collierville, TN, Jeffrey Scott Morris (Megan) of Hernando, MS, and Madisen Brooke Morris of Collierville, TN.

Keith never met a stranger and had a wonderful way of making anyone he encountered feel like an instant friend. He loved to talk about his five grandchildren (who called him DooDaddy): Hayes, Hadley, Ellie Kate, Graysen, and Adeline. He loved the Lord with all of his heart and this was evident upon meeting him, even for 5 minutes. Keith loved the Tennessee Vols and passed down his passion to his family, creating a mighty and mini fan base amongst his grandchildren.  He loved strawberry milkshakes (especially if they were homemade), baling hay or fishing at the family farm in Williston, and a good playlist featuring Buddy Holly and Elvis. Most of all, he loved being with his family, whether it was just on the back porch around the fire pit or on a family vacation.

He is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, his siblings: Carol Preuss of Arlington, TN, sister-in-law, Vicki Morris of Piperton, TN, Terri Lamberth (Chuk) of Collierville, TN, Joanie Cunningham (John) of Rossville, TN and Susan Shaw (Tim) of Rossville, TN. He also leaves behind a host of nephews and nieces who affectionately called him Uncle Bubby or UB.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Libbie Morris, his brother, Randy Morris, and his sister, Sharon Morris Lewis.

Funeral Services for Mr. Morris were held at 12 noon Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Collierville First Baptist Church. Interment followed in Ebenezer Cemetery at Williston.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers were Bill Parker, Chris Morris, Taylor Lamberth, Koby Lamberth, Kevin Pasley, Brennan Cunningham, Walker Lamberth and Hayes Morris.
