Lana Balonek

Marlana Elizabeth “Lana” Balonek, age 42, resident of Oakland, Tennessee, departed this life Friday morning, February 5, 2021 at her home.

Lana was born March 28, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Jeff Balonek and the late Virginia Elizabeth Graham Wade. She moved with her family to the Memphis area and graduated from Craigmont High School. Lana was employed as a certified nursing assistant and enjoyed coloring, drawing and dogs.

Lana is survived by her son, Gavin Burke of Oakland, TN; her father, Jeff Balonek of Fairfield, PA; her grandparents, Harrison and Virginia Graham of Oakland, TN; her half-brother, David Balonek; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services for Lana were held at 2 P.M. Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with Bro. Mike Hollaway, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville, officiating. Interment followed in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.
