Obituary

Lance Edward Litzner, age 52, resident of Southaven, Mississippi, Unites States Army Veteran and husband of Jamie Litzner, died Wednesday morning, January 6, 2021 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis.

Lance was born in St. Ignace, Michigan on December 23, 1968 to the late Adolph Elmer Litzner and Susan Carol Hart Litzner.  He grew up in a family full of siblings. He is one of many children. After graduating high school, Lance joined the United States Army and spent some time stationed in Germany. He loved his time there and had some of the best experiences of his life during his Army career.

After his time in the Army, Lance began his career in the casino business. His first job was at Kewadin Shores Casino in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan as a craps and blackjack dealer. He then moved to Mississippi and worked at the Hollywood Casino where he met the love of his life, Jamie. They married in 2006 and have lived a life together full of love, lots of music and made many wonderful memories together. Lance enjoyed all genres of music and always looked forward to concerts of any kind. He loved the outdoors, especially enjoyed sitting around the firepit with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing any chance he got. He was a workout and fitness guy and enjoyed riding bikes as well. Lance loved his family more than anything. He knew how to prioritize his life and most recently began to understand that God and family should come first. He has spent that past few months watching church online and was very thankful for the ministry team at The House of Impact in Southaven, Mississippi.

In addition to his wife, Jamie Litzner, Lance is survived by his two daughters, Rylee Litzner of Southaven, MS and Cortney Litzner of Kincheloe, Michigan; two sons, Jeremy Nicholas Litzner of New York and Joseph Michael Pena of Southaven, MS; his brothers and sisters, Darrell Litzner, Corey Litzner, Sharolyn Litzner, Jason Litzner and Jackie Graf; four grandchildren, Ayden, Keigan, HarleyQuinn and Kayleigh; and many nieces and nephews.
