Lonnie Courtney Clay

Lonnie Courtney Clay, age 58, resident of the Hickory Withe Community and United States Air Force Veteran, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, December 9, 2014 at his residence.

Graveside Services of Remembrance with Military Honors for Mr. Clay were conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 17th at the West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery near Germantown. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - Main Chapel in Somerville.

Mr. Clay was born March 9, 1956 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Hope Clay and Allene Merrill Clay. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering at Memphis State University where he was in the Tau Beta Society and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Mr. Clay had been a resident of the Arlington Community for a number of years. He served his country in the United States Air Force and enjoyed playing computer games.

Mr. Clay is survived by four sisters, Helen Clay of Memphis, Elizabeth Pierce (Keith) of Covington, TN, Martha Clay of Memphis, Corolyn Clay of Arlington, TN; and his brother, Thomas Clay of Arlington, TN.

The family requests that memorials be directed to the charity or organization of the donor's choice.
