Sylvia Jean (Skipper) Pruitt

Moscow, Tennessee

Sylvia Jean Skipper Pruitt, age 75, resident of Moscow, Tennessee and wife of Ronnie F. Pruitt, departed this life Thursday morning, January 19, 2023 at her home.

Sylvia was born October 20, 1947 in Fort Deposit, Alabama, the daughter of the late Ernest Skipper and Mary Elizabeth Taylor Skipper. She graduated from John Patterson Trade School and was married February 28, 1970 to Ronnie F. Pruitt. She was employed as a teacher’s assistant for Memphis City Schools. Sylvia loved her family and enjoyed cooking.

Mrs. Pruitt is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ronnie F. Pruitt; two daughters, Deedra McCoy (Wayne) and LeAnne York (Patrick); her son, Michael Ray (Marie); her sister, Juanita Norris (Billy Gene); and three grandchildren, Raegan McCoy, Kaleb York and Joshua York.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Pruitt were held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis with Bro. Mike Hollaway, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Rossville, officiating.
