Taylor Williams

Warren Taylor Williams was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 28, 1981, to the family of Warren O'Neal Williams and Shannon Ratcliff Williams. He passed away on October 28, 2021. His unexpected death left behind his parents; his brother, Justin; his brother-in-law, Will Marshall; half-sister, Kim Fyfe and her spouse, Trey; his nephew, Mac; his niece, Maggie; his half-brother, Shea Williams and his spouse, Jennifer; and his nephews, Walker and Luke. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Warren and Maggie Williams and Waldo and Bea Ratcliff.

Taylor attended Mt. Pisgah Elementary School and graduated from Houston High School in 1999. Taylor played football in junior high for St. Benedict School and loved skateboarding and outdoor activities. He attended the University of Memphis after high school graduation.

An avid fan of his favorite teams, he cheered for the U of M Tigers basketball and football teams, the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders. Among his favorite activities was attending any of his teams' games in person.

He loved going to the beach, especially at the family cottage in Seagrove Beach, Florida. He also enjoyed traveling, taking one summer trip with a friend to backpack through Europe, creating lifelong memories. Taylor loved fishing and took many trips that included both deep sea and freshwater fishing adventures.

His work career was spent mostly in selling and marketing in the roofing and project management areas. During the pandemic, he opened his own contracting firm, completing home renovations in the Nashville and Memphis areas.

Taylor loved to laugh and joke, possessing a sassy sense of humor that was contagious. His smile would light up a room. He loved his dogs and was a good dog trainer. He leaves behind his beloved boxer mix pup, Cash.

Memorial Services for Taylor were held at 3 P.M. at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. The officiating minister was Bro. Thomas Foy.
